Somehow we’re nearly three weeks into August and I’ve only just realised that I didn’t post a July wrap-up. Whoops. So here it is!
Work has been CRAZY. Last month I said that I hoped the amount of extra shifts I was asked to do was going to slow down a little bit, but it hasn’t. I’ve worked constantly throughout the past two weeks (probably why I forgot to write this wrap-up, as I can’t actually remember July finishing…) and I’m working for the next eight days in two different stores. Eek!
At least things have calmed down on the feeding front. Our daughter is five months old tomorrow, so we’re beginning to talk about weaning her, but at the moment she’s not feeding all the time and is only drinking one bottle while I’m at work – a relief, because it means I don’t have to worry about expressing as much.
I’ve been quite active again this month, but still won’t be posting stats because it’s the middle of the month and I can’t find an easy way to access last month’s stats (someone who knows more about WordPress than I do, hit me up?). It’s been nice to get back into the swing of things with the blog, and hopefully I’ll eventually remember to share posts like this at the beginning of the month and not near the end of the next month.
We didn’t actually go to any shows in July, which was a shame, but we’ve got a pretty busy September so you’ll be getting more of a music wrap-up next month.
I finally got over my reading slump and managed to read 8 books in July. I still haven’t posted my reviews of Eighth Grade Bites by Heather Brewer or Catalyst by Laurie Halse Anderson, but I did post reviews of Prom, The Bird Room (which I finished at the end of last month), Because You Love To Hate Me and Can I Speak To Someone In Charge?. The rest of the books were ones that I only reviewed on Goodreads, but at least I was actually reading again.
My wrap-up next month is going to be a bit more detailed, but at least you’ve got some idea of what was going on with me last month! How was your July?
